So I am now officially a university graduate. Wow. I'm having a lot of trouble dealing with that fact. All my life I've been focused on starting school again in September, and I can't quite accept that I won't be doing that this September. And it's been such a great year that I'm sad to see it end. The ceremony was nice yesterday - they even brought it in under two hours, which is pretty amazing considering almost 500 people received their degrees!!! It's actually pretty cool - you go over to the table and they hand you your degree, and then your name is announced and you go up to the principal, kneel before him, he shakes your hand, and then taps you on the shoulder with his hat and says "rise, Bachelor of Arts". You sit in the audience for two hours for the thirty seconds it takes to actually get your degree, but that's ok. :-) After the ceremony I wandered around and took lots of pictures with friends and family and actually took a good look at my degree - to discover it's in Latin!!!! The only part I can read is my name! :-) But it still looks pretty damn impressive. If you want to see pictures they're here (just straight links - I'm too lazy to set up a separate page for them):
#1 - with my dad's parents
#2 - with my mom's parents
#3 - with all four grandparents
#4 - with my mom and dad
#5 - with my sister
#6 - with my aunt
#7 - with Trish
#8 - with Laurie
#9 - with Jessica
#10 - with Lisa and Jessica
#11 - with Andrea
Well, I guess that's all I have to say for now. Tonys are tomorrow night! Yay! I hope everyone has a nice weekend!
