Huzoor ki taareef
Sangeet Mehta alias Geetu alias Takla,
Leo(27th Jul 1978).
Let's talk about the site first. It was the brainchild of Veenu and
myself (most frustrated horsemen). The other two are making hay while the sun shines!!!!!
Veenu laid the foundation for the site and then I took over.
Veenu,
I like to call him 'munna of the group'. Always ready to bore u with his PJ's. He is very
good at pulling legs, esp mine. Was the last to join the ROCK bandwagon
amongst us. Deepak
is the pioneer in our group.
Gopal
hehehehe!!! He is some character. Paranoid, hyper, short tempered, iconoclast, radical,
psyche..............................We like to call him a computer with less RAM. His mind
is mostly preoccupied with puzzles, guitar notes or some C program. Mind is filled with
the most weird ideas in the world. Has a good hold over his vocabulary. In the past one
year myself and Gopal have listened to various genres of music, had long
discussions/debates. Both of us love playing the guitar. He is into composing songs as
well.
Ab Hamaar Baari
I'm basically from Himachal. Since my dad was in the army,Maine
ghat ghat ka paani piya hai. And the ghaats are Jammu,
Chandigarh, Pachmarhi(MP), Bangalore, Pune, Ladakh. I have been to the base camp of Siachen
Glacier. Seen Bofors guns being fired at Pakistan.
Till 1998 I was listening to indipop, mushy gushy sentimental, remix
songs. It was Gopal who introduced me to ROCK. The first song I heard from him was 'Nothing
else matters' by Metallica. And after that there was no looking back. After I bought
my comp, I got hold of some great ROCK songs. 'Desperate cry' by Sepultura was one of
them. It's my favourite song. This is how I discovered Sepultura. For some time I was
stuck with Guns N Roses.
Metallica is my favourite band. Sepultura's drummer is awesome. Also
the heavy throat voice of their lead singer is superb. Maiden songs have nice guitar work,
Bruce's vocals, lyrics. Pantera is a class apart. Sharp cutting lyrics, vocals, distortion
guitar wwwooooooffff!!! Pink Floyd is totally different. Sort of psychedelic music, with
powerful lyrics, guitar,vocals.........I feel relaxed listening to Floyd. Dunno y Deepak
doesn't like Maiden/Floyd. I also listen to R.E.M, Nirvana, Enigma, Jeff Beck.
HOBBIES
Sleepingzzzzzzzzzzz, playing guitar, computer games, net surfing,
quizzing, graphology, illusion pics...................
I love watching movies like The Shawshank Redemption, The Sixth Sense, The Pelican Brief,
Lethal Weapon, Hyderabad Blues, Anand, Masoom, Golmaal, Andaz Apna Apna, Arth, Kaash, Woh
Saat Din.
Did u know Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam(sick movie) was a remake of Woh Saat Din. American
Beauty is a lousy movie. Not worth an oscar.
