Around the World with Hardy(T)

India

I visited India between 18th October and 2nd November 1996, flying in from the UK.

For this part of my round the world adventure, I joined an organised trip with the excellent World Expeditions (Hi Vicky!). We spent some time in Delhi, went camel trekking in the Thar Desert, checked out the beautiful cities of Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Jaipur and went cycling through the villages of Rajasthan. And, of course, no trip to India is complete without a visit to the awesome Taj Mahal in Agra.

On our return to Delhi, we took the short flight up to Kathmandu in Nepal to continue our adventures on the subcontinent.

One of the highlights of India was the excellent food. Any country where you can have curry for breakfast, lunch and dinner gets my vote! Check out some of the mouthwatering recipes on the WWW Virtual Library:India pages.
