Around the World with Hardy(T)

Norway

I arrived in Bergen from the UK on 13th June. I spent some time in the fjord region around Bergen, before making my way down to the capital, Oslo, with its excellent Edvard Munch museum. From Oslo, I made the long, long train journey up to the Arctic Circle, stopping off in Trondheim and Bodø, before boarding the Hurtigrute ferry bound for Tromsø, the Paris of the North! Despite watching the midnight sun on the summer solstice, my journey wasn't over, and I made the slow, slow bus trip up to Honingsvåg and eventually to Nordkapp, the most northerly tip of mainland Europe.

After this epic voyage, I stopped at the Lapp capital of Karasjok before heading across the border into Finland on 25th June.
