From the Pastor's desk, continued

Look around you today and I'm asking you where are the disciples? Where are they? Did not Jesus choose us to follow Him? He called each one of you. He called me. He called each one of those that are missing to follow Him by the blood of the Lamb, by the word of our testimony and not loving our lives even unto death. But where are they? Mark 15: 40, "There were also women looking on from afar, among them was Mary Magdalene, Mary's the mother of James the Less and Joses, and Salome who also followed Him and ministered to Him when He was in Galilee, and many other women who came up with Him to Jerusalem." But where were the disciples? Maybe they're like we are today? See, if it's Christmas, if it's Easter, if it's mother's day the disciples show up. Not to hear God's Word. They show up to hear the kids sing, to eat the free food, to see a production, to be entertained. But where are the disciples when its time to hear God's Word? The entertainment takes precedence; work takes precedence, all sorts of things takes precedence over hearing God's Word. Where are our disciples? There's not a person in this fellowship that God has not blessed tremendously. He picked each one of us up out of the miry clay, dusted us off, washed our feet, and set us on solid ground. But where are our disciples today? Where were they last Sunday?

The world is too important but I want to tell you, the storm is coming. The storm is coming to the house of God. I don't know when, I don't know how, I don't know what form it's coming, but its coming. And we need to be prepared. Eat, drink, and be merry is about to come to an end. The storm is coming. Matthew 12:30, in Matthew 12:30 Jesus is speaking and He says, "He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad." I fear our disciples are two busy criticizing, bad mouthing, gossiping, and making excuses why they are not with God's people in God's house. Jesus says if you're not with Me, you're against Me. If you don't keep this Word with Him then you're against Him. And when you're against the saving grace of Jesus Christ you're putting yourself back under the law. And no one can fulfill the law except Jesus. And ironically enough He's already fulfilled it. So those who are against Jesus are living in vain. Where are the disciples? Where are they today?
