33. Go to "Edit/paste/paste as a new layer." Go to "Image/rotate/rotate/right=110 degrees."

34. Click on the "Mover Tool" Mover Tool and position the second "redroses" adjoining the first.

Go to "File/save" and click Ok and it will be saved in a .psp extension.

35. Go to "Edit/paste/paste as a new layer." Go to "Image/rotate/rotate/right=120 degrees." Click on the "Mover Tool" Mover Tool and position the third "redroses" adjoining the second.

36. Click on the "Layers Option Pallet." Layers Options Pallet and you should have 6 layers. "Layer 1 [the background layer]; "color layer"; the "Heart 1 layer"; "layer 4"; "layer 5" and "layer 6."

37. Turn off the 3 bottom layers by clicking on the "small glasses" alongside the headings, "Layer 1"; "Color layers" and "Heart layer." Go to "Layers/merge/merge visible." Turn on the bottom 3 layers again by clicking on the "small glasses."

38. Right click on the "merged layer" heading and in the "Options box" that pops up, choose "properties" and rename it "redroses right."

Go to "File/save" and click Ok and it will be saved in a .psp extension.

39. Right click on the heading of the "redroses right layer," and in the Option box that pops up, click on "Duplicate." Go to "Image/mirror" and the redroses will appear on the left side of your "white Satin Heart."

40. You should have 5 layers. "Layer 1 [the background layer]; "color layer"; the "Heart 1 layer"; "redroses right layer" and "copy of red roses right layer."

41. Turn off the 3 bottom layers by clicking on the "small glasses" alongside the headings, "Layer 1"; "Color layers" and "Heart layer." Go to "Layers/merge/merge visible." Turn on the bottom 3 layers again by clicking on the "small glasses."

42. Right click on the "merged layer" heading and in the "Options box" that pops up, choose "properties" and rename it "redroses."

Go to "File/save" and click Ok and it will be saved in a .psp extension.

43. While the "redroses layer" is still active we need to place a redrose in the space at the base of the heart. Go to "Edit/paste/paste as a new layer."

44. Go to "Image/rotate/rotate right=90 degrees."

45. Click on the "Mover Tool" Mover Tool and position the "redroses" in the center at the bottom of the heart.

46. Turn off the 3 bottom layers by clicking on the "small glasses" alongside the headings, "Layer 1"; "Color layers" and "Heart layer." Go to "Layers/merge/merge visible." Turn on the bottom 3 layers again by clicking on the "small glasses."

47. Right click on the "merged layer" heading and in the "Options box" that pops up, choose "properties" and rename it "redroses."

Go to "File/save" and click Ok and it will be saved in a .psp extension.

48. While the "redroses layer" is still active, click on it with your left mouse button and a "small hand" appears. Continue to hold it down and drag the "redroses" layer under the "Heart" layer.

49. You now have 4 layers. "Layer 1; color layer; redroses layer and Heart layer" in that order from the bottom.

50. Activate the "Heart layer." Click on the "Magic Wand Tool," Magic Wand Tool open your "Tool Options Pallet" Tool Options Pallet and choose "Match Mode=RGB Value; Tolerance=0; feather=0; Sample Merged=unchecked."

51. Click on the background anywhere outside the heart. Go to "Selections/invert." The "Marching Ants" will surround the heart.

52. Go to "Selections/modify/contract" and contract by 10. Click Ok. The "Marching Ants will move inside the Heart by 10 pixels.

Go to "File/save" and click Ok and it will be saved in a .psp extension.

53. Make the "redroses" layer active. Hit the delete key. To see what has happened, "turn off" the "Heart" layer by clicking on the "small glasses" to the right of the "Heart heading." The redroses have been deleted to within 10 pixels of the "Heart rim."

54. Turn the "Heart" layer on again by "turning on" the "small glasses." Deselect.

55. Open the original "witesatn.jpg" image which is W=70 x H=70. Activate the "Color" layer.

56. Click on the "Flood Fill Tool" Floodfill Tool and in the "Tool Options Pallet," Tool Options Pallet select "pattern." Click on the "middle tab" and scroll down until you reach "witesatn" and left click on the "Color layer" and flood fill with the "White satin" pattern.

Go to "File/save" and click Ok and it will be saved in a .psp extension.

57. Click on the "Layers Option Pallet." Layers Options Pallet Make sure that you have the "Heart layer" active. Add a new layer and name it "Text."

58. Click on the "Color Options pallet." Color Options Pallet Make your foreground color Dark Red ["#881A1C"], or you can select a Red color by clicking on the "Eye dropper" in the "Tool Bar" and choosing a color from one of the reds in the roses and left clicking your mouse button.

59. Click on the "Text Tool" Text Tool and in the "Options box" that pops up choose, Text Color "dark Red"; Font=CAC Champagne; size=36." Type in your "Text" and click Ok. Left click in the center of the "Heart" and then position the text where you want it.

60. I added a "Drop shadow" to my text while it was still active. Go to "Image/effects/drop shadow" and choose the following settings: Color=black; Opacity=80; Blur=4; Vertical=1 and Horizontal=1." Click Ok. Deselect.

61. Go to "Layers/merge/merge all flatten." You can leave it there or you can add a border as I have done.

62. Click on the "Layers Option Pallet." Layers Options Pallet Add a new layer and name it "Border." Click on the "Flood Fill Tool" Floodfill Tool and in the "Tool Options Pallet," Tool Options Pallet select "solid color." Left click anywhere on the "Border" layer and "Flood fill" with the "Dark red" color.

63. Go to "Image/plugins/texturiser/texture." Select a Texture and left click on the "Border" layer. The texture will be applied.

64. Go to "Selections/select all." Then "Selections/modify/contract" and contract by 10. Click Ok. When the "Marching Ants" move in from the edge by 10 pixels, hit the "Delete key." The center of the dark red will disappear. Go to "Layers/merge/merge all flatten."

65. Go to "Image/effects/buttonise" and make the width=5 and height=5. Now you have finished your "Mother's Day heart" or your "Valentine Heart" if that is your choice. Well done!

Go to "File/save as" and save as your final work a .jpg extension.

66. Here are 2 other examples. You can choose to make a "Valentine Heart" if you wish simply by choosing the Text message. The text messages are endless. Experiment and have fun. Mother heart 14 Mother heart 15
