Webbie Dynasty Fight

Kelly:

It took Clayton Webb 3 seconds to leap the sofa and reach Casey, pulling her away from a dumbstruck Cameron.

He looked at his grinning partner, there was a mischievous twinkle in her eyes.

"You think that's funny Case?"

He asked in a dangerously soft voice, as he slid his arms around her waist, effectively trapping her in front of him.

"Very!"   She said looking at him angelically.

"Then you're gonna think this is hilarious!"  His lips came down on hers.

Traci watched from the other side of the room, as Clay and Casey stood Lip-locked.

"He's a popular guy, your partner!"

Cameron smirked as he looked at the expression on Traci's face.

"Yeah, but he's no doctor!"
Traci said as she kissed Cameron deeply.

Harm gave a disgusted snort.

"What are we playing 'spin the bottle' here? These two have gone insane and it appears they've taken you with them!"  He said to Mac.

Mac slid her arms around Harm's waist pulling his lips down to hers.
"Hmmm...but what a way to go!"

Harm grinned, he couldn't argue with that.

Clay looked across the room at Traci and Charlie kissing passionately up against the wall.
It appeared that what had started as a joke was turning serious...a little too serious for Webb's liking.

"Will someone please hose those two down?"

He quipped.

"What's the matter Webb...jealous?"

Charlie shot back.

"Of you...It was me they were fighting over, you're just a poor substitiute!"

Webb fired at him, as he moved away from Casey's side and went to front up to Charlie.

The men stood toe to toe, each glaring at the other.

"A BETTER substitute it appears"  Charlie snapped.

Traci and Casey grinned at each other, their plan was working perfectly!

Traci:

Casting a quick glance behind them, they figured Mac and Harm were going to be of no help whatsoever anymore.

"Hey, if I had a partner that could kiss like that I certainly wouldn't be locking her in a funny farm," Charlie snorted.

"*I* didn't lock  her up."
Webb glared at Casey before returning his attention to his newest rival.  "And if  had known she could kiss like that... Wait a minute, I can't believe I am even having this conversation!"  Webb backed down from Charlie.  "When did this turn into One Life to Live?"

Traci looked at Casey and shrugged.

"Maybe because you were treating us like two brainless, clueless, girl-Friday's."

All four jumped at the sound of a crashing lamp - only to find Harm and Mac had knocked it over as they  made their way to the bedroom.

Mac and Harm stood there, faces beet red, and quietly returned to sitting on the couch.

"What are you talking about?"

"Well," Casey began.  "You've been playing Traci and I against each other since day one.  All you had to do was choose.  Her or me.  It's obvious you want both of us at different times, but it can't be that way.  Neither of us are going to go for that."
She looked at Charlie.
"You had the misfortune of being at the wrong place and the wrong time and looking like the wrong person.  Of course, the fact that you helped him didn't help your case."

"And," Traci continued, "I have been more that fair in letting you make up your own mind - uninfluenced. You and Casey have a past, I *thought* you and I had a future.  But you have to decide that for yourself."
Webb stared at them.
There was no way he could choose.
There were too many things he loved about both of them.

Casey and Traci looked at each other and nodded.

"We figured you wouldn't be able to decide so we've decided for you."
Casey pulled out a letter from her pocket.
"We are teaming up as partners. The request has been approved."

Webb read the letter twice.
"Wha...?  I... what about me?"

They grinned.

"Well, it seems we do need someone to help us with research."

Traci took his hand and shook it.
"Welcome aboard and we expect freshly brewed coffee every morning."

Harm and Mac were nearly falling off the couch in tears of laughter.
Casey turned to Charlie.

"You know," she said sliding up to him,  "You're not such a bad substitute after all."

"Hey!  I saw him first!" Traci protested.

"And you didn't take him, so he's fair game."

"What? After all we just went through you would turn on me like this?"

"Um..."  Casey kissed Charlie again.  "Yeah."

"Why you..."

Traci grabbed Casey's hair once again before Webb pulled her away.

Kelly:

"Good Morning Agent MacKenzie, coffee?"

Webb asked with sarcastic solicitousness.

"No thank you Webb, have you got those reports I asked for?"

Traci glared at him, trying not to laugh.

It had been 2 weeks since she and Casey had teamed up, they had cracked open a Washington Spy Ring, and managed to stop the abduction of a foreign diplomat.
She had to admit, she and Casey worked well together without Webb in the way.

"Good Morning Webb, any calls for us?"
Casey said as she breezed into the office, accepting the cup of coffee Webb handed her.

"Cameron called AGAIN!"
Webb gritted out looking about as depressed as one man could get.

Traci looked at Casey and grinned, Charlie had called Traci the night after they had taken him hostage, apparently he understood there were extenuating circumstances and didn't hold a grudge.

In fact he and Traci were scheduled to go out this evening for dinner.

"The reports Webb?" Traci reminded him.

A few minutes later Traci and Casey sat in their respective offices on the phone to each other.

From their open doors they could see Webb sitting at his desk, trying to reformat something on his PC.

"Y' think we're being to hard on him Traci?" Casey asked. "We could tell him about the Dep. Directors decision."

Traci grinned at the way Webb was scowling at his PC as he gave it a sharp thump.

"Let's just keep him hanging for a few more days...I kind of like the humble man-servant Webb we've got these days."

Casey grinned as she watched him shake his head at the PC and then switch it off.

"He has been rather subdued lately, hasn't he."

Traci giggled.

"Maybe we should get Charlie to come in, and make Webb be nice to him for an hour or two, that would REALLY piss him off."

Casey laughed.

"So what's with you and Charlie anyway?"

Traci:

"You know, considering we kidnapped him and he still wanted a date, I don't know what to make of it.  He's really nice... we've already spent hours talking on the phone."  Traci passed a glance out the door at Webb.  "But he's still..."

"Not our Clay," Casey finished.

"Nope."

"Hey, but you're going to dinner tonight, maybe you'll see something more in him."

Studying Casey's facial expressions for a minute, Traci asked,

"Is this your way of getting me away from Clay?"

"No," Casey laughed.  "I mean, it would be nice not to have to compete for him, but it would be great if Charlie ended up being the one to make you happy."

"I suppose."

Picking up the phone, Traci placed a call.

Later...

Dr. Charlie Cameron stepped off the elevator only to find himself face to face with Webb once again.

"What are you doing here?" Webb demanded.

Charlie grinned.

"I have a date."

"You're picking her up here?"

"Yes, Clay, he is."

Traci stepped out of the office, followed by Casey.

She walked up to the men and smiled.

"Thank you for meeting me here.  I still have some work to do, but it shouldn't be too long."  She turned to Webb.  "Play nice."

With that, both women returned to their office to watch the fun.

Kelly:

"You're taking Traci to dinner?"

Webb asked glaring at Charlie.

"Uh-huh, and then dancing...then maybe a walk along the beach...."

Charlie said enjoying the way Webb's glaring increased as he spoke.
Webb fronted up to Charlie, standing toe to toe on the blue carpet.

"You hurt her...and I'll come after you!"
He said softly, the look in his eyes leaving Charlie in no doubt as to his seriousness.

"Back off Webb, you had your shot with Traci and you blew it!" Charlie spat back at him. "You were too busy panting after Casey."

Charlie turned and walked away from Webb, leaving him frustrated and angry.
Webb walked back to his desk and sat down.
Casey and Traci had set him up...he knew this was part of their payback for not choosing one of them as his partner.
He looked over at Charlie sitting relaxed on the sofa between their offices.

"She's using you, y'know."   He said quietly.

"Using me for what?"

"To punish me."

"You've got quite an ego haven't you Webb?"

Charlie said with a sardonic smile.

"No ego...just the truth."

He gave Charlie a smug smile.

From their offices Casey and Traci listened intently to the conversation going on in the reception area.

"You listening to this?"  Traci asked when Casey picked up her call.

"Yeah, you think Webb's on to us?"

Traci grinned.

"Nah...he's grasping at straws here...right now he'd do anything or say anything to stop him from going out with me tonight. He's hoping Charlie will get annoyed enough to cancel our date!"

"Well he's making a fool of himself, he sounds like a jealous little boy."   Casey said with a grimace.

"I think it's time for phase 3 of our plan. Is he ready?" Traci asked.

"Yeah, do you know how long Mulder has been waiting to get back at Webb?"  Casey giggled. "I can't wait to see Clay's face when Mulder walks in."  Traci laughed.  "Poor Clay, won't know what hit him."

FBI Agent Fox 'Spooky' Mulder chose that moment to make is entrance.

"Hey...if it isn't my favourite spook."

He said, a condescending smile on his face.

"Mulder, what are you doing here?"   Webb asked giving Mulder a dirty look.

"I'm here to pick Case up for our date."
He said, pulling the red rose out from behind his back.

"You and Casey?"

"Me and Casey!" Mulder looked at Webb. "Problem Webb?"

Webb looked about ready to explode.

"Casey...your date is here....."

Traci:

Casey emerged from her office, grinning from ear to ear.

She walked over to Mulder and gave him a peck on the cheek.

"Hi."

"Hi yourself." Mulder handed her the rose.  "You ready to go?"

It was then he did a double-take at the man sitting on the couch.

"Wha...?"

Traci closed the door of her office behind her.
"Mulder!  Good to see you again."

She smiled as she walked past him to Charlie

"Ready?"

"Wait, who is that?"

Casey smiled.

"That is Dr. Charlie Cameron.  A striking resemblance to our favorite "spook" but no relation."

Mulder turned back to Webb, who was on the brink of going postal.

"Oh, I see."

He gave Webb the most evil, satisfied grin he had ever seen.

"Well, Webb, don't wait up for us."

Traci wrapped her arm around Charlies arm as he led her to the elevator, followed closely by Casey and Mulder.

"And don't worry if we are late tomorrow morning,"   Casey added as the elevator doors closed.  Traci:  Webb stood in the middle of the room.

His rage growing while his heart continued to break.
But two could definitely play this game.
He reached for the phone.

"Hi, it's Webb.  Are you busy tonight?"

Inside the Elevator...

"Did you see his face?" Traci laughed.

"Oh yeah.  I'd say we got him finally."

"Hey, wait a minute," Mulder interjected.  "You two aren't the ones he's ready to kill."

"Don't worry, his bark is worse than his bite," Casey reminded him.

Charlie, meanwhile, remained quiet.
He had been in on this as a joke initially but now, as he watched Traci smile and laugh, well, maybe it wasn't a joke anymore.
Sensing his silence, Traci looked at him.

"Are you okay?"

"Huh? Oh yeah, sorry.  I'm fine."

She studied his eyes for a minute before turning back to Mulder.

"So, what did you tell Dana?"

He grinned.

"That I had a date."

"You didn't."  Casey looked ready to kill him.

"Hey, it's good for Scully to think I have a life once in awhile."

"Mulder... You're trying to make her jealous aren't you?"

"Traci, why ever would you think that?"

Casey and Traci looked at each other, the plan already half formed in their minds.
