We're excited about our first CD that just came out in the year 2000--Harp & Vibes Holiday. Now that we've found a great local sound engineer, there are more to come: Valley of the Bells will include many of Chick Corea's Children's Songs, some of the beautiful Interludes by Chip Davis, En bateau and Reverie by Debussy, La vallee des cloches by Ravel, and other peaceful impressionistic masterpieces.
Our second Christmas album will feature more of Joe's jazz artistry and sense of humor. My contribution will be an arrangement of ALL of the Waltz of the Flowers, complete with harp cadenza, Schubert's Ave Maria, and other classical favorites. Since Joe just bought a new set of orchestra bells, I imagine that Silver Bells will be in the mix as well. This page is under construction as are the albums, so watch this space for upcoming sound bites.
First on the list to be published are some of the arrangements from Harp & Vibes Holiday. Second will be a collection of Debussy piano pieces which lend themselves beautifully to our two instruments. We mourn the lack of a really solid repertoire for this combination, so we're setting out to create some arrangements that we feel will be very useful wherever people are looking for classical chamber music for our two instruments. Following that will be (when permission has been obtained) arrangements of Chick Corea and Chip Davis pieces, and then a wedding album. When the pieces have made it to the publishers, we will list them here.
