Frank was born 1896 at Loch,Vic.His family left there in 1915 to Merbein He came to Shepparton from Mildura in 1929 with his brother "John" .[Henry John Dystart Furze]
He became president of the Imperial Football Club until 1934. Then he and some others formed the Shepparton-Maroopna ambulance service becoming its secretary -treasurer until it was taken over by the government in 1950. Also he was a founding member of the St Johns Ambulance brigade.
He was very keen on cricket and from his arrival in Shepparton. until 1944 he was an active cricketer and was president of the Shepp Cricket Club for many years
He was a very good gardener and was president of the Horticulture's Society of Maroopna.
Also he was a past Master of the Mosaic Lodge and Freemason.
He was also a very keen fisherman and loved to go to Jamieson River for fishing trips later in life.
He became proprietor of the Shepparton "Advertiser" four years latter became a linotype operator for the Shepparton "News" where he worked until becoming consultant to the Waterwheel Press.
He died at home in Maude Street Shepparton.Their children grew up in Shepparton.
