The National Cycle Network provides a signed route from Oxford to Abingdon. For details of the full route between Oxford and Reading please see the NCN route maps. Oxford to Radley NCN route 5 starts at St Ebbes and follows the South Oxford cycle route through back streets, ending up at the end of Abingdon Road near Redbridge Park and Ride. From here there is a choice of routes: via Kennington Road or off-road via the Thames path and a new path to Sandford Lane (528012) in Kennington. If you are coming from Cowley you are better off going via Littlemore and Sandford Lock (530012). From Kennington to Radley the route follows the road, although an off- road shared- use path next to the road is being provided as well (currently unsigned). |

| Radley to Abingdon
A new off-road path has been built from Radley to Abingdon, via Thrupp Lane (520987), the gravel pits (523974), the old railway line and Abbey Meadow (near 505973). For a more direct on-road route go to Abingdon via Radley Rd. Go past Waitrose, the traffic lights and into Abbey Close. Head for the archway by the Guildhall and then follow the National Cycle Route down St Helens St. See Abingdon to Oxford for details of the journey to Harwell.
