Mr. Hassan Nasir, a development sector professional, has experience and expertise in managing, developing, implementing and evaluating development projects. Mr. Hassan is currently working as Program Officer, Governance and Political Participation with Cavish Development Foundation, a not-for-profit and non-governmental organization. Before that he worked with Indus Resource Centre as Project Officer, Political Development Program and Literacy. However, he started his career as English Language teachers at English Language Development Centre Khairpur. His entrance, as Community Mobilizer, to development sector was an incident, which provided him the opportunity to learn development in rural and urban perspectives. Based upon my efficient and effective performance, he was promoted to the post of Project Assistant and this was followed by a subsequent promotion to the post of Project Officer – Literacy Projects. During this period, he managed a team of almost 250+ personnel belonging to diversified cultural and ethnic backgrounds. He designed, implemented and managed literacy projects run in 15 union councils of district Khairpur, Sindh. Later on, I was retained in the organization as Events Manager and was given the responsibility of coordinating and managing work related to organization of Taleemi Mela (Educational Festivals) which targeted providing youth enabling environment where they could utilize and improve their potential through healthy extra and co curricular activities. He is volunteer Sindhi translator for Community empowerment website (www.scn.org/cmp) which provides training material training low-income communities and has translated several pages in Sindhi and still working with them. With Indus Resource Center, one of my especial projects was raising awareness on Reproductive Health, Mother and Child health care and HIV/AIDS through interactive theatre; project was supported by World Education Inc. USA. In this project I worked with Indus Theatre Group and developed six theatre pieces on the above themes. These themes were presented before communities of almost 30 villages targeting youth and women.
