Don't Marry Him       2001/4

Father:  Everyone said he is a great liar.  How can you marry him?

Daughter:  He may lie but those lies he told were white lies.  In fact, he is honest to me.

Mother:  You are too simple minded!  Be rational, just think about his personality.  He is mean to us!  He has no friends and all his colleagues dislike him.

Daughter:  It is because they don't understand him!  You don't understand him either.  In fact, he is very kind!  I am the only one he has got.  He needs me.

Mother:  But you don't need him.

Father:  Think about your sister.  How can you trust him after he left you sister when she was pregnant?

Daughter:  He has explained that over and over!  Dean is not his son!

Mother:  Dean's face tells everything!  Why didn't you believe your sister?

Daughter:  She set him up!  She knew he had fallen in love with me.

Father:  Daughter, you don't know about man.  He didn't left her because he loved you.  He is not loyal.

Daughter:  He is not loyal to her because he doesn't really love her.  But he really loves me.  I can feel it.  He is very loyal to me.

Mother:  You can't just rely on your feelings!  Feelings will mislead you!  Before I married your father, I didn't love him and I didn't think he would be a good husband.  But I love him now and he is a good husband.

Daughter:  So, you may misjudge him as you misjudged Daddy before!

Father:  OK, how about religion?  You are a Christian and he is an atheist!

Daughter:  Sure, he will go to church after we marry.

Mother:  you are only dreaming.  Why can't you be realistic?

Daughter:  God will help him.  Be patient and generous.  If you can forgive your enemies, you should forgive him too.

Father:  I don't want to tell you the truth.  But I have to.  He wants to marry you only because you earn more money that him.  If you get divorced, he would get half your property.

Daughter:  First, we won't divorce.  Second, I would like to share everything with him.  I don't mind giving him everything while I still have something to give.

Mother:  But he does it all on purpose.  Don't you think that he betrays you?

Daughter:  So what?  Jesus knew his apostle would betray him.  It made no difference.
