Summer
and Winter were husband and wife. They
had married for fifteen years. Summer
liked kids very much, he really wanted to be a father, but no matter how
hard he tried, they wouldn't have a child.
He suspected that maybe Winter had lied to him and she didn't
want any baby at all.
But
he found out he's wrong at one day.
That day, Summer left an important document at home so he went
back home at lunch time. When
he had just got out of the taxi, he saw Winter had came secretly out of
the flat. As she got in her
car, her mobile phone rang. She answered the phone immediately, it seemed a very
important call. She looked
really happy talking to the caller.
She whispered and laughed and started the engine.
Summer was very angry because he thought that Winter was having
an affair. He decided to
follow her and find out who her lover was.
He tried to get a taxi but he failed, so, he opened the boot of
her car and slipped inside. She
was still talking on the phone so she didn't notice anything.
After
an hour, the car stopped. Summer
noticed that the car was stopped, so he got out of the boot. Obviously, Winter went into a pet hotel because there has
nothing else around. He
asked the girl sitting in the enquiry counter and she told him that
Winter had came to visit two rats twice a week for the past two years.
She always came there alone.
He's worry was gone, but he was confused. He didn't understand why she had never told him that she had
kept rats. He went back to
the car and opened the boot of the car.
He planned to take his bag and leave; he would ask her that
night. Just then he
discovered that there was a diary inside the boot.
It was Winter's dairy. He
didn't know why it was in there, but he didn't think anymore about it.
His curiosity drove him to open it even though he knew he should
not. He sat on the boot and
read it, and he found out the truth was something he couldn't bear.
The
truth was that the rats in the hotel were their children. Winter was an alien, she came from Mars.
She knew he was always hoping that they would have their own
child, so even though she knew it wouldn't be easy to have a human
child, she had given it a try. But
she had failed. She had
given birth to a mouse-like twins.
He
was so scared and got in a taxi. He
went directly to the hosiptal to check out what was wrong with him, and
the examination showed that he was also an alien."
'Ridiculous!'
She thought, 'What non-sense fiction.' Season put the book back on the
shelf and left the book store.
