So, I say Beware to them. There are thousands, millions, of us out here now who want Congress to do as it was designed to do and Constitutionally directed to do - that is, to protect the Constitution
of the United States of America and to promote the general welfare of the people.
And, please don’t confuse ‘the welfare of the people’ with providing free rides for those who do not take responsibility for their offspring or those who refuse to work and rely, instead, on those who do work.
Consider Washington politicians (Rep.s and Dem.s) logic, or should I say - lack of logic.
Here is what Bush, Jr., had to say after his admission to using drugs but not for the last seven years and then, his statement he hadn’t used them since 1974. Quite a switch. Apparently
he doesn’t know when he quit or maybe even, if he did quit (Lots of witnesses may testify he didn't - presuming they don't disappear).
Anyway, after an afternoon conference in Columbus, Ohio, he is one of his comments. “I believe it is important to put a stake in the ground and to say enough is enough when it comes to trying to dig up people’s backgrounds in politics.”
As usual, when any investigation has targeted a specific target, as with Burton in Indiana, Livingston (potential of who backed out as House Majority Leader), Gingrich, and many others, it seems as if the politician under scrutiny all at once wants investigations stopped and their rights to privacy protected, which is, as you know, quite contrary to what was done to Clinton. Actually, Clinton who was just a 'good old boy' doing as the other good old boys do (without snorting coke and using other illegal drugs).
To this complete lack of logic and realism, I say “no go”. Bush never spoke out in Clinton’s defense using his above rational even though Clinton’s private life is the most investigated life ever subjected to
political party maneuvering.
Thus, Bush only believes 'enough is enough' if not directed at
him and his own party members. It is painfully clear his statements along these lines are nothing more than political maneuvering (as was the Republican spear-headed investigation of Clinton) and not based on a sound value system.
So, here is what I believe the American people ought to say to the corrupted hundreds we now have in government. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH - We Want You Out. If you can’t keep
your convictions straight or be consistent with them (which indicates no belief at all), then you can’t possibly be capable of protecting our rights as defined in the Consitution. Nor can you work towards protecting the general well-being of the people of the 50 states.
Once people who felt the same were few in number (or just weren't aware of one another) but those numbers grew to dozens; then to thousands; and now they are growing into the millions, enough that IF they organize and put in an organized effort, both major parties would be put out of control and, hopefully, the
old-timer, powerful 'I-want-to-be-corrupted-by-big-business-interests’ and the
‘we-will-remove-every-Constitutional-right-from-the-people’ Washington policians, will be shed of office.
With perserverance of the growing multitude (hopefully in my lifetime), the silent giant being awakened will come to full awareness and smote each and every one of the feds corrupted so hard that they won’t land until Hades has frozen over.
Then, maybe our nation will once again be the great nation our forefathers set up.
