Greasing the way to the Oval Office

And the bribes go on. Does anyone NOT believe the Bushbaby/Cheney ticket isn’t going to be a conflict of interests should these two (please don’t let it happen) get into the White House.

First of all, Bush is only in the running because of oil and the many hundreds of millions it has made his daddy. Those millions bought baby Bush the governorship of Texas. It greased his way into politics, an arena he had never been in before if what I read is correct concerning his life prior to the governorship of Texas.

The man is a smirking idiot, the only thing he is good at - well, besides snorting coke, being a drunkard and good-time Charlie at parties. This would be clearly shown during debates, particularly if the debaters do not know the questions in advance. Of course, as we all know, though, the debates aren't really debates but planned presentations. But, even knowing the questions in advance, though, it is also a certainty Bush will blow it unless someone is telling what to say as he is saying it.

Anyway, those millions of Bush and Republican dollars, along with the millions his daddy could bring in to the Republican Party, bought him the support of the Republican Party and his nomination as president wannabe.

Since I don’t support either of the two major parties, it is clear that the two want to stay in power because of all the corruptness that results in their being millionaires in a few short years. The perks are just much better to the controlling party.

Since dummer-than-most Bush (don’t listen to his momma - he is a dummy) could get millions in support and, since it takes millions to make millions of millions more, then the Republicans went along with Bush since they didn’t have anyone else with the pull of Bush Sr. and his oil buddies.

Do most Republicans in Washington believe he is presidential material? I seriously doubt it. If they do, then it might be suggested that GOPers start electing new people to Congress because the ones there apparently aren’t hitting on all cylinders.

But, Cheney. Let’s see. Not being a financier, a bit of common sense must be used. Cheney hadn’t had any experience in the oil business prior to being hired by (am not going to advertise for them). And, yet, in five years he made 12.5 million in salary and bonuses.

Then, when named as VP candidate, his ‘severence’ pay amounted to over 32 million dollars. It seems as if the company knew Cheney was going to be named as VP and started buying him with the 12.5 million in advance, his pay during his 5 years with the company. Then, to lock up the deal and assure great back-scratching by Cheney should the Bush ticket win, they gave him another 20 million. That amounts to over 32 million in five years. Not bad pay for someone with no experience.

Anyway, it could be conceivable that Bush Sr. along with other leading corrupt Republicans started planning this several years ago. Dubya needed some political noteriety so daddy tried to get him out of his alcohol/drug-induced stupor and bought him the governorship.

Daddy Bush with his ties in oil could assure the party of tremendous ‘contributions’ (also spelled b-r-i-b-e-s) by planning ahead for his boy to be the next presidential nominee. Daddy Bush also knows he can control his boy and would sort of be the president behind the scenes.

Cheney, a military leader in Desert Storm, got to know Bush so Bush got Cheney a job to ‘keep’ him going and to get him experience in the business of oil. Bush Sr., being a strategist, also knew the value of having an ex-military leader on a future ticket. Beats the hell out of a ‘draft dodger’ anytime and might help offset his boy’s snorting coke and partying stateside while his fellow military people were way over there in the battle.

So, the stage is set. During the last five years, the Republican’s conspiracy to rid the White House of Clinton failed miserably. Actually, it completely backfired on them. Not only did Clinton’s popularity keep increasing, but more and more dirt came out about Republican leaders.

Gingrich, one of the most feloneous in Congress and most out-spoken about Clinton and - ha, ha - family values, was third in line for the presidency should both Clinton and Gore be killed or put out of office. The man was found to be a dirt bag. The Republican Party forced his resignation. Don’t feel sorry for him, though - he had millions socked away, millions made from his political back-scratching and all.

But, in replacing Gingrich, the party couldn’t find a person who had a clean enough record to replace Gingrich. Sad state. They finally got what’s his name - to tired to look it up - but he resigned before he got started. Actually, there may have been two or three others who were suggested but couldn’t because of not so clean pasts.

So, they ended up with Armey, a Texas fellow who is as corrupt as they come and really not too bright based on some of the statements I have heard him make. Goes to show you, though, GOPers seem to be proud of their weak-minded - probably some sort of affirmative action thing.

Anyway, the stage was set. As choices for possible nominees became fewer and fewer, the GOPers finally settled on dummy Bush because his family and backing could cough up the millions upon millions needed to keep the party in power.

Cheney, already bought by the oil industry and supported by Bush Sr., would be a shoe-in choice. The Republicans weren’t about to let one as outspoken an McCain be nominated for the position of president or vice-president. He might not agree with their tactics and might voice his opposition. Plus, once upon a time, he did believe in the Constitution of the united States of America, a rarity in Washington politics.

So, we got to see the play acted out and here we are with these people’s paths all greased up with Bush Sr. and Republican leaders thinking they will slide right into complete control. No conflict of interests, though.

Dubya in the office of President, a person who can be controlled by oil interests (his daddy included) and other big business who really doesn’t give a crap about America or the Constitution. Cheney who accepted a multi-million dollar oil bribe as second-in-command, and, their good Texas buddy who sure knows how to manipulate for his own and his party’s interests (big business), Armey who has catered to oil interests his entire career (wouldn’t be there as a Texas representative term after term if he had not) as third-in-line.

Quite a deal for the party - but a tragedy for the nation if it comes about.

Some people might think this far-fetched which is okay with me. But, I will wager the leaders in both parties are already planning who will be nominated next election while formulating plans on how to discredit the other party during the next four years should their party lose.

I will also bet the GOPers are working really hard at discrediting Gore/Lieberman, just like the party did when Clinton put Bush and, then, Dole out to pasture.

If Bush/Cheney does win, then it is time to push for non-electronic voting. It will have to be rigged for a person with Bush’s short-comings to get elected to - Christ, I still can’t believe he is a candidate - the most powerful position in the world.

It just causes my stomach to churn that a dummy can potentially be president simply because of MONEY. Is he really the best the GOPers had to offer?

Lord, but this nation in trouble.
