The writer just finished reading an article by James Rowly, a writer for Associated Press, concerning Lott's probe limitations. The Republican Party was mentioned twice while the rest of the article concentrated on the Democratic Party.
One would think that an effective probe would include all campaign fund-raising practices of both parties, including all campaigns, whether presidential or not. Why just concentrate on the presendential campaigns and primarily on Democratic practices.
We either want the truth to prevail or we don't. Those who do not practice questionable tactics while raising funds should push for complete investigations into all levels of politics. How else are we to learn the truth and have effective reform?
However, that will not happen as there is much to fear from the truth. The truth is Lott doesn't want Republicans investigated as their practices are just as shoddy and potentially illegal as those of the White House. Furthermore, the truth is the Republican Party is just searching for another way to attempt damaging the administration. Thus, probe limitations.
They tried with Whitewwater and failed. And, it cost the taxpayers millions of dollars and lost time in governing the country.
Are we going to have a repeat?
Here's what this person thinks. Either investigate both parties on all levels, including yourself, Senator Lott, or just admit you are blowing political smoke.
Or, do you fear the truth?
