Hm, is this a criminal conspiracy?

(From the News and Observer on the Web, Jan. 15 by Larry Margasak), “Arriving after an overnight ice storm, the senators gave their views of Thursday's opening of the prosecution case, in which Republican House members charged that Clinton engaged in a criminal conspiracy to thwart the courts from learning of his affair with Monica Lewinsky.”

Crap on these people. There can only be a conspiracy going on between the women, the Republican Party, Starr, and God knows who else. If these people were actually concerned that Clinton is involved in a conspiracy to thwart the courts because of not wanting it known Lewinsky gave him head, what of their own conspiracies to keep their private, immoral lives out of the courts and away from public scrutiny?

Clinton has done absolutely no more than any married person who has been sucked in by offered sexual activities; that is, to lie about them. Nothing new about it - nothing unusual - IT IS THE NORM, not the exception. Nor is it a conspiracy anymore than any Republican hiding the truth about his or her sexual liasons.

This is, has been, and will be the most outrageous farce this country has ever known. The Republican Party has simply lost its collective mind and, as servants of the people, suck.

And, as for criminal conspiracy leading to impeachment - not hardly. It is at most a situation to be dealt with by Mr. and Mrs. Bill Clinton. Anything other than that is just a waste of money and time.
