In the piece, Limbaugh wrote: “Principled policy positions define conservatives. If you retreat from those positions -- even just rhetorically for electoral expedience -- you forfeit your political soul. Political conservatism isn't just standing for the Constitution, limited government and ordered liberty. It is being truthful about your convictions, even if it is politically damaging.” This was prompted, in part, by Bush Jr. separating himself from many in the Republican Party.
That is all well and good, except for one thing. The people in government in the Republican Party do not, have not, and will not stand up for the Constitution, limited government, and ordered liberty. This is nothing but political crap. Even the terminology, “ordered liberty” is nearly an oxymoron as liberty is not ‘ordered’ but God-given.
The party has sought for control over the people of this nation in a tyrannical sense in that government with Republican’s help has become more and more intrusive on people’s lives. Certainly, the party has not attempted in any way to enforce the Constitution of the United States of America.
It isn’t just the Republican Party as it matters little to the people of this nation which of the two major parties are in control (or to the parties). Both parties strive to remove the rights of the people. For all practical purposes, there isn’t any such thing as conservatives or liberals since the majority of legislation being proposed removes the rights of innocent people and is not in defense of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, or the Declaration of Independence.
I consider Bush a spineless, non-committal, spoiled rich brat. Everything he now says is nothing more than his writers' attempts to fool people into believing he would be a leader of a nation. He is not a leader, nor will he ever be. Oh, money might buy him into the office but that will not make him a ‘leader’. He will be molded as the Republican Party and its big business interests dictate.
And, that brings me to the problem. Politicians say and do whatever it takes to get elected to office. But, rather than being vigilant over Congress, part of the people’s duty in order for a republic to work, the people ignore the ‘after the fact’ lies. What I mean is, politicians should and must be held accountable for every statement made, for every action taken or opposed. There is no choice if we wish to re-establish this nation as a Republic.
Here is what any politician who honestly supports the Constitution would state:
1. Any who try to change the Second Amendment have as a primary interest the complete control over the people of the fifty states. Legislation directed to removing arms from the hands of honest citizens’ hands is against the Constitution and those politicians leading the foray are violating their oaths of office and must be removed.
2. Any politician who supports the IRS and its illegal activities, including invasion of privacy, armed threats, illegal entry, illegal seizures, and fraudulent application of USC 26 are also in violation of their oaths of office and must be removed from office.
The IRS never, under any circumstances, has the right to threaten any citizen of any state. It is an organization that should never have been and should be disbanded immediately. It violates the Constitution with every statement made concerning the imposition of taxes on a citizen’s domestic earnings.
The IRS, with the government’s backing, is nothing more than a band of thieves that has enslaved the citizen’s of this nation
under fraudulent means by misleading, misinforming, and misinterpreting the regulations set forth in the Constitution, and USC 26, Subtitles A and C, and the C.F.R.
3. Any politician who stands behind the Ponzi Scheme that Social Security is, any who supports Social Security and the misapplication of regulations are violating their oaths of
office and must be removed from office. Omission of the truth must be treated as a flagrant lie.
4. Any politician who lies to the people in order to get elected must be removed from office as this is no more than a con job perpetrated on his consitutuency. Since the amount
of money involved is far greater than the minimum for a felony, the politician must be impeached as a felon.
People in the mainstream media and comedians may make light of
such acts but it is most serious if we are to be respected as a nation of honest people. There simply isn’t room in the government of this nation for liars and thieves.
5. The standing army must never be used against citizens of the nation. Any in government who get caught having lied about any situation, however minor it may seem (there are no minor lies when it comes to the rights of citizens), will be immediately removed from office and imprisoned in the regular prison system, hopefully with their butts bored to manhole size by inmates.
6. Law enforcement does not have the right to violate Constitutional rights. In the interest of preserving liberty, no citizen will be stopped on the highways of this nation if
there has not been a traffice violation, or if the vehicle doesn’t match the description of a vehicle used in a felony. This means no spot checks which are based on a presumption of
guilt, not the presumption of innocence.
Officers, regardless of the unit, be it DEA, FBI, or any other police organization, do not have the right to break into people’s homes or to step foot on private property without
probable cause and a duly issued search warrant issued because of over-whelming evidence. It is a practice that must be stopped immediately.
No amount of confiscated drugs, or the possible arrest of an offender, are worth the potential of killing innocent people. Plus, you know as well as I, that complete investigations can lead to arrests outside a domicile rather than running the risk of having the wrong address or an erroneous tip.
Politicians supporting these police actions must be removed from office as they are not supporting the liberties we are guaranteed but are, instead, supporting the actions of a government-controlled police state.
These would be a start but, by all means, not all that is required to limit government as was originally intended. Instead of the rhetoric we hear concerning limited government, we
need action by the people. It is easy for slick talking, two (or more) faced politicians with the media’s help to talk about limiting government while convincing fools the government
of this nation is benevolent when it is, in reality, the greatest danger to freedom the people of this nation have ever faced.
People (the above mentioned fools) strive for the easy path. The easy path, in this case, is the one to being controlled by a tyrannical government. Liberty foresaken for non-involvement and accepting a bill of goods from self-serving government entities and their media lackeys. What a shame and what a price our children’s children will face.
As for forfeiting a political soul, one has to have one before forfeiture can occur. In that, Ladies and Gentlemen, I am afraid that those in Washington are not in any danger of losing
anything, be it political soul or otherwise.
