Gun control - a bit of research on effectiveness

For two days now, I have been watching my guns resting where I put them. I even put three of them right next to one of my doors to the outside world. And, I laid shells next to them.

Strange thing is - they are still sitting there even though three are not even registered. (Legally, of course, since I bought them before registration began or from private individuals who were not licensed gun dealers.)

Not one of them has jumped up, loaded itself, pointed itself at another human being, and fired.

The point is, Ladies and Gentlemen, it is not gun control we need - it is the establishment of respect for others along with the knowing the difference between right and wrong and the ingrained will to only do what is right.

In other words, self control within the parameters established by a civilized society.
