Political BS deepens - America be warned.

Dick Armey, R-Tex, was recently re-elected to serve as the house majority leader. Following his win, Armey’s press secretary, Horace Cooper, told CNS Armey was “pleased that members of the House Republican Conference reelected him Majority Leader.”

"We want to hit the ground running in January," Cooper said. "We plan to continue forward with the agenda of limited government, lower taxes and support for the values and issues that America is waiting for. We believe that the entire leadership team is going to be able to work together in a way to make all those things possible.” (Cut and pasted from an article by Judy Cooley, CNS staff writer)

Do Republicans actually believe these statements of Armey’s mouthpiece and the Republican Party’s intentions? Do they actually believe Americans believe these statements? If so, we are in extremely desperate times.

Limited government. Watch out for this smokescreen. Limited government, in part, means the federal government be less involved in this nation’s citizenry, less intrusive into our lives.

The truth is the federal government has been, and continues to this day, becoming increasingly intrusive with additional people’s rights, including privacy, being violated.

The federal government under leadership of Armey and his cohorts is going to do no different than what has been done the last 80 years whether control was under the Republican or Democratic control.

First, there is the myth of personal income taxation. Should Republicans actually act as stated, then the truth must be made known concerning government financial support as outlined in the Constitution. And, this must include the truth of the 16th Amendment and subsequent findings of the US Supreme Court.

Besides, if the lowering of taxes was the intent of the party, then why has its members been involved in nearly every tax increase during the years? Why has the party ignored the most fair way to be taxed in order to support a centralized government, the means set forth in the Constitution of the United States?

Second, the intentions of Social Security, basically a welfare system applied only to aliens and a very, very small class of American citizens, should be made known and the system as now used done away with.

The truth that no citizen must be numbered should be made known with it being a violation to have any business, government agency, or any other entity demanding social security numbers of citizens of this nation.

Third, tracking of citizens through biometrics applied to driver’s licenses should be thrown out and forever prohibited. The cover for easing the government’s desired task of tracking citizens through advances in electronics coupled with communication satellites has been, of course, in the guise of ‘for the good of children fathered by dead-beat fathers’.

The truth of using this system to track and maintain information about citizen’s lives which is absolutely no business of a government already out of control should be made public if the party’s high-minded ideas are the foundation for the party’s future activities. But, of course, we all know statements such as those made by the politicians in Washington are nothing more than crap.

As for morality and ‘family values’, when they have cleaned their own party of morally decrepit membership, then their statements concerning family values and the like would be far more believable.

However, this would mean people such as Armey would have to tell the truth in all matters. This would include, in addition to the above, the truth about campaign funding and corruption by the party’s members.

Along these lines, cleaning up Washington would have to include the removal of any members in violation of moral, ethical, and civil laws. Integrity demands upon the population should be as enforced in Congress with those lacking prevented from having any part of the responsibility in the governing of the people of this nation.

Watch for actions to limit federal governing. Rather than the continuing removal of your individual rights, your individual rights should be reinstated as in the Constitution.

As for taxes, watch for these so-called leaders to place the most fair taxation system possible, the system as outlined in the Constitution.

Watch for the major parties to begin relieving themselves of the millions poured into the party by major special interest groups and to do what is right for the people, not their benefactors.

Watch for them to tell the truth about the social security system and governmental abuses of it.

To thoroughly clean up our nation's capitol, watch for those in government to rid itself of any members who have had amoral activities against family values.

If these are not on the agenda and carried out, then the truth (part of family values) will continue to escape this party and its leadership.

And, we, the people of this nation, will be no better off than we were before.

Special Addendum: To this date, May 31, 1999, Republicans have done none of the above. Instead, it continues to remove or attempt to remove privacy rights and God-given rights as out lined in the US Constitution.

They remain as amoral, unethical, and full of BS as they have shown themselves to be in the past. Their goal is a simple one - they want to establish a totalitarian government with the people of this nation subservient to them.

When they totally control all weaponry, we will then be in a state far worse than what we had under the rule of England. Just cover the pictures of the White House and members of Congress with a picture of Hitler.

Thousands of American lives have been lost to establish and maintain our Republic and out liberties. Why now let a few greedy, A-hole, dumb SOB's take that away from us or the generations in the very near future?
