“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil
is
for good men do nothing.”

I don't know who said this although it sounds as if it might have been Thomas Jefferson or Alexander Hamilton.

It could just as well have been any one of the great men who put their lives on the line by challenging England and signing their names to the Declaration of Independence.

In the minds of our founding fathers, the evil of oppression had no place in this floundering nation. It was a state of being that was unacceptable. Only liberty would do.

These men could have continued as they had and let England rule the colonies. Most were comfortable to weatlthy financially speaking. But, they were not comfortable with the perceived atrocities being committed against the people of the colonies by the Mother country.

They could have sat back on their laurels as so many Americans are good at today. They could have ignored mistreatment after mistreatment. But they chose not to. They chose, instead, to fight for freedom and release from bondage.

You see, our founders were good men. Not only were they good men, they were MEN in every sense of the word. They were willing to get involved, to oppress the oppressor.

And, goodness prevailed. They won our independence and gave us the most important documents the modern world has seen, The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution of the united States of America. They gave us a nation!

Are we now going to let the very few in government take it from us and oppress us to even a greater degree than England had oppressed the Colonists? They are, you know, with every law passed in opposition to the Constitution, with every fraud committed, with every act against innocent American citizens.

The choice is ours, you know.
