Album Name: The Gabby Pahinui Hawaiian Band MusiciansGabby Pahinui: 12-String Guitar, Steel Guitar, Bass, Vocals Tracks1. Aloha Ka Manini (2:27) About the Album...This was Panini's follow-up to the successful and acclaimed,
Rabbit Island Festival album. The album itself was located on location in a remote group of houses in the North Kona district on the Big Island of Hawai'i between August and September of 1974. Generators had to be brought in on location to record the sessions. The main living room of the home was made of pahoehoe lava rock, which provided great acoustics for the recording sessions. There are 11 tracks in all on this album, including a good mix of traditional Hawaiian songs. The last track, Ipo Lei Manu, features a lead in Ha'i 'Olelo, Hawaiian dialogue, between Gabby and noted Hawaiiana specialist Keli'i Tau'a.
