People
who are after 'Power' , generally want to control other people.
People who want 'Respect in the society' want to have just enough power
& money sufficient for the society to respect them.
People
who are 'after Adventure' (Adventurous), want that constant feeling of 'Adrenalin
Rush'. They put themselves at risk, physically, & derive pleasure by coming
out of that risk.
People
who've 'Other people' as motivation, do anything (within sensible limits)
to make that person Happy. They get happiness by making that person happy
& feel pain when that person is sad . That other person can be anyone
- parents, brother, sister, relative, close friend or life partner. These people
generally go after what is called 'True Happiness'. It's the same happiness
you feel when you see a baby smiling. This happiness has an element of innocence
in it & also of purity of thought. So, this kind of happiness stays throughout
your life & it can come only by giving Unconditional
Love to others.
e1. The right place/use of Ego is to act as a self-judge . It has to ensure that we reach our set goals & also that we don't fall below our set standartds. It also has to periodically upgrade our standards & goals.
e2. Anger is justified as long as it protects us from 'being taken for granted', by others. But it should not be used to hurt others deliberately.
e3. Instincts/Intution are the basic means of a man's survival .
e4. Selfishness
is justified when it is in the right proportions. A person should be so selfish
that he/she doesn't directly rely on others for his/her survival but relies
only on his/her capability. A person should be selfish to such an extent that
he/she doen't use others for his/her gains but uses only the powers within
him/her.
We must remember this very important thing - One has
to have a Self first, to be Selfish (Ian
Rand - FountainHead).
