My husband, Dennis, and I in Jan 2001
He is one of my great reasons for wanting to survive!!
We were in Showshoe, WV on a skiing trip.

I call this "Self-Photo"
Knowing I was gonna all of my hair during chemo, I decided to go ahead and get a short pixie-type cut.  I took this photo above on the first day of the haircut to email to some of my family.

November, 2000

July 30, 2001.  When I knew I had lost the battle to keep any hair (3 weeks, 4 days after Chemo # 1), I ask my son Keith (above on the left) to shave it for me.  After one hour of encouragement from him and my two daughters, I donned my wig and got dressed to out to dinner with some out-of-town friends who were visiting.

Four more great reasons to survive; my children!
This is when my daughter graduated (with honors) from nursing school.
Good thing for me she has been an oncology nurse!  She's a life-send!!!!!
From left to right: The twins, Keith & Kerry, Ginny, and Todd
(Twins look like they've just been diagnosed with a disease! *grin!)
I sure do love these children!  They are the greatest!!!

Here's a little sweetie that has become quite dear to me.  My 14 year old step-daughter, April.
She lives with her dad and me, and in the 10-1/2 years we've been married, she has become my daughter, not by virtue of birth, but by virtue of love.  She is added to my list of reasons to survive!

Our little cutie goes to her first prom; the official 8th Grade Prom.  She sure looks grown up, doesn't she?  We were so very proud of her.  I'm glad that surgery wasn't until after the dance so that I could be with her as she excited got ready for this event-of-the-year!

Please pray for our brother, Ken

This is my husband Dennis (left) and his brother, Ken.  Ken is going through treatments for Pancreatic Cancer.  He has really been suffering and we are praying that the treatments are successful.  He wouldn't be recognized from this picture because he has lost well over 100 pounds since he became ill.   He is a very faithful man and I'm sure God will have His hand in Ken's recovery.
UPDATE: On Dec. 6, 2001 Ken passed away. He was a very faithful Christian man who dearly loved our Lord and Jesus. I'm sure he is a happy man now; free of pain and wordly problems and spending time face to face with Jesus. Ken, we sure do miss you. Especially Dennis.
