Carol
Garretson's
Selected Stories From
Reflections Of Life Off The Lake
Welcome to a New
Year at Carol's continued story center. There are many selections for
you to choose from that will make you smile, laugh, and remember
times you had as a child growing up, and learning to be a
grown-up when it was much more comfortable just being small and
looking at all those tall trees that seemed too high to climb.
If you grew up like me, a Navy brat, you will relate to these times we all pulled together before pay day to make ends meet. You will even be able to see my brother John and I pulling the wagon on a hot summer day to sell sodas to the workers building all those new houses near us.
If you remember those 50 cent a-hour babysitting jobs to earn your fabric money for those clothes for school, Friday and Saturday nights just were not the same for us guarding the flocks while the parents took to the theatre or dinner with smiles on their faces.
Remember those Saturday afternoons at the theatre? Was that the last time a candy bar cost us five cents or a nickel?
Enjoy these
short story selections from Reflections Of Life Off The Lake.
I know your time
is precious.
