  • Mayumi's "Stuff About Me"
The early reviews have called this a seminal work from the young author. At 16 pages long, not only is it a substantial piece of work but it has an ending guaranteed to tug at your heartstrings.

Other Stuff

  • 1999 Mothers Day Vignette
Created as a mother's day present in 1999. The important thing about the project is that it allowed to me procrastinate until about 2:00 am the night before Mother's Day, and still have something for to give my mom the next day. Oh, and the sentiments are genuine too...

  • Krispy Kreme Donut Counter
In the early days of Teachscape, we were spread out amongst two offices in New York. At Teachscape North (as we called the office on 22nd Street) Friday was donut day, featuring just-off-the-line Krispy Kremes. In order to let the Teachscape South office (on Broadway and Leonard) know what they were missing, and to encourage them to come up town and get some work done, I created the donut counter which was updated in real time (by me, as I watched the donut box).

  • Captain Text
1996 brought one of the thrills of my professional life helping to put CBS News on the World Wide Web. We were one of the first companies to do live audio and video streaming over the Internet (during the conventions), and we had live interactive broadcasts during the debates. One of my contributions to this effort was a program which captured live transcripts of these events and instantly published them to the Web. The program - a text capture program - was nicknamed "Captain Text". This is the programs' mascot.
