Merlino, a kitten really lucky! On a cold winter day, he decided to sleep under the hood of a warm engine car. When Riccardo's wife (living in Milan, Italy) started the engine and drove home, she heard a "strange noise", but she didn't understand why the engine was still making noise when she turned it off!!! Merlino was there, scared to death and hiding near the hot engine. Now, he's a lively home kitten, always playing and .... eating! He likes water and bathing, also using the water inside flower vases (that are always spread across the home floor, of course)! He's a real private "earthquake"! |
Precious, Daddy's Shadow! Billy and Mary McAdams found her when she was about 3 months old. She was was just about dead from fleas and mal-nutrition. She's 4 years old, now. she loves to fetch paper wads and often brings them to Billy to play.

Spare Parts, rescued by Vasston in November of last year. He is a polydactyl, means many toes, and hiv positive, which is not transferred to humans or dogs, only to other cats through biting. He is very talkative, he chatters and loves to eat so he gets a lite diet. He is very sweet and lovely, yet he is his own person if you pardon the pun:) He sleeps upside down, which is his favorite pose. Vasston is a animal rescuer so he is in the same house with other cats and a dog, whom he gets along with fine. He is in need of a love home. He is very healthy and will probably live a long full life. |
This little shy guy is Elvis, he has been with Vasston about 1 year, he acted like the devil at adoption. He growled and hissed but was all talk, no action. He is very lovely and sweet: after he gets to know you, he shows his good side. He is also adoptable, and is also an upside-down kitty, who loves to have his belly rubbed. |

This is the human bed of Vasston by night,
but don't try to convince the cats of this. How many cats do you see? I see 8: Luckybear, Lil man, Baby girl, Ratboy, Calico, Fetch, Mama and Sir Duke. This is a small part of Vasston world. Most of these are "Adopt a cat" cats, all rescues from the cold hard outside world. |
Basil even at 5 weeks old is developing quite a charachter. When Mike and Barbara last visited him (they'll adopt him in a few weeks) he was showing great determination trying to escape from the kitten pen, by shinning up a piece of string to play with the older kittens. They're sure he's going to develope the same bossy ways as their previous and dearly missed red Rufus (you can find Rufus at Mike and Barbara's Home Page). | ![]() |

This is Schubert (named after one of Mike and Barbara's favourite composers because he has such a melodic voice). He's a rare silver tabby persian. They tend to call hem Horror Bag because he gets upto so much mischief. One of his favourite tricks is to run up the bedroom curtains. The curtains being dark brown now tend to look like a star chart when the sun shines through, but they wouldn't want to change him because he gives them so many laughs with his antics! |
These lovely kittens are Teddy & Sapphire. They are brother and sister and are fifteen weeks old. Mike and Barbara tend to call them H & H (Hooligan & Horror) because of the mischief they get into. They have turned the house into something resembling a military assault course chasing each other over all the furniture and up and down the stairs: they are never happy unless they are up to something. |

This is Halloween. Laura had to change home and live in LA with her sister, who has a cat allergic husband, and 2 small housedogs who hate cats. She couldn't take her three cats with her, so she asked us help to find them new homes... |
...Well, we lucked out. All 3 cats have found beautiful homes. Halloween & Joy (here in the picture on the right) are living with Bill, in the Santa Cruz mountains. Laura met Bill, a wonderful cat lover, over the internet. | ![]() |

Tunebug, the third of Laura's cats,
found a home with Kate just 2 miles down the road from Bill's place. They are all very happy now! |
