Neutering is the surgical removal of reproduction organs. If you want to do it,
make an appointment for your cat by the time he or she is five to six months old.

Because domestic cats are kept in artificially lit and heated conditions,
they shed all year round. If your pet is a longhaired cat, this requires daily
grooming to avoid matting. Shorthairs need less grooming, but should be brushed
twice a week.
