Let's Communicate!!

Freetel!!

Check out these features!

Freetel is true Internet Telephony at it's best! It is a totally free software program that has great voice quailty. It supports half or full duplex sound and even has a sound "booster" built in for when network traffic is at a peak.

No more searching for someone who might be using the same software because Freetel has a built in Electronic Phone directory. Simply scan the list of all the people signed on to the server at that moment and click on a name. You can also search the directory by typing in the first few characters of the name of the person you are looking for, and the directory will search for you to see if they are online.

A little leary of who might be calling you? That is not a problem with the Advanced Caller ID that is built right in. It announces the name of the person trying to connect to you as well as a note of introduction if they send one. This safety feature, coupled with the Caller Log, keeps you safe and secure while enjoying calls from all over the world!

Also included is a chat board for typed conversations with those who might not have a sound card. It allows for file transfers too, which makes it a good personal or business product, and many business are beginning to use it for customer calls too. Unlike some other programs, it allows more than one name to be used, which will eliviate teens using Mom or Dad's name to connect with their friends.

Although this is a fully functional program when you download the free version, Freetel has two ways to upgrade for very little money. If you are interested in a few added features such as being able to remove your name from the main directory or turning off the advertisements that keep this a free program, you can purchase the upgrade for only $29.95. Commercial users must register and purchase the $29.95 package after a 30 day free trial, but personal users need never pay unless you want additional features. The second way to uprade is to purchase the full Freetel Personal Edition for only $39.95. These fees are well worth it considering what you can save on your long distance phone bill over time.

Freetel is not without some limitations though. There is a short delay, mere seconds actually, in the transmission and reception of voice signals. It also restricts you to only one connection at a time, unlike some programs that allow for multiple connections. These are small sacrafices to make for this type of vocal quality!
