"China" was sculpted and created in the memory of the countless youths that were killed during the fateful summer of 1989 at Tiananmen Square in China. The students staged an uprising against the Chinese government and were killed on the streets. This lifesize "China" doll by Renae Sturgeon (1990) is number eleven of a limited edition of twenty dolls. The doll is signed and numbered on the back of the head as well as on the cloth body. Her clothing has been distressed to complete the "Poor Little Chinese Waif" image. $595
