Tooter's Boy

Patrick Tyler!!!

Let's see what I can tell you. He's BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Very un-bias opinion there *l* Hmmm, let me give you his stats:
Born: 5:18pm March 16, 1998
Length: 21 inches (Long huh?)
Weight: 8pds 9ozsPooh
Hair: Dark! And a head full!
And I am happy to report Mommy, Daddy and Patrick are all doing fine. I had alot of people ask if I was going to put up a picture of him. I will not do that. I will update this as he grows, but I want to keep him a baby, and to be totally honest, I want to keep him a baby, not a "show-n-tell", and especially with all the things you hear on the news now days. Call me over-cautious, but thats how I feel at this point. Perhaps someday, I would love to show him off. Until I hear otherwise from "Tooter" or "Candy Cane", I am just going to make some simple dedication pages to him of Poems I have collected. And since his Mom choose to do everything...and I do mean EVERYTHING in Winnie-the-Pooh, so shall I.
As Always.....

Only Mommies Know

"Mommy", I can hear him say,
This wonder I call son,
"You know those pretty flowers?
I went out and picked you one."
And I looked down at this little man,
This miracle all mine,
And there clutched in his tiny hand
Is a wilted dandelion.
As he seeks a sign of pleasure,
I try to let it show,
For the love I feel at times like this
Only mommies know.

Pooh

First Day At School

He holds on tightly to your hand-
You're sure he's going to cry-
When you leave him at the nursery school
And have to say good-bye.

You tell yourself he needs a chance
To share and learn and grow.
He's not a baby anymore-
It's time to let him go.

But even so you find it hard
To tear yourself away
And you wonder if he'll manage
To make it through the day.

Back home, the house is quieter
Than it's ever been before.
You keep wishing any minute
He's come scampering in the door.

In his room there are reminders
Of his presence everywhere-
Like building blocks and picture books,
His favorite teddy bear.

You can hardly wait to pick him up
When nursery school is through
You're sure he'll run and hug you
And say he's missed you to.

But you find him playing happily
With new games, new friends, new toys.
Your precious little man
Is now one of the "big boys"!

Yes, since he has discovered
A new world to explore,
He really doesn't want to be
A baby anymore!
