Almost all the information I have on the Eppler Family Tree was
given to me by my cousin Pat Eppler. I believe the information
was gathered by his wife Yvette Tichon Eppler.
As I go through and organize this mountain of material,
I will make note of where the information came from, if I know.
(Please let me know if I’ve made a mistake anywhere here.)
I have also created a story page with interesting information
about some of these early Epplers. Including stories on Epplers
who I have information on, but have not yet made the connection
to my family history.
Pat, I will never be able to thank you enough for your
generousity or make you understand how much this has meant to
me. Your family spirit should be an inspiration to us all.
This page is dedicated to Yvette’s memory.
You can get to this story page by clicking on the highlighted name,
then look at the index to find the name you clicked on. Click again

Aunt Dovie Mitchell’s history says that Albert and Cynthia were the only children of Marcus
and Catherine who lived to be grown. She also says that Catherine died when the children were
small, and that Uncle Mack reared them alone. She adds that Uncle Mack was dearly loved by her
grandmother, Ann Eppler Cole, wife of Lewis Francis Cole.
Jonathan Note:
Jonathan Eppler (m-2) at a time, and to a person, of which & whome we have no direct
knowledge. We have had a few references to Jonathan having been married three times but, with
no names or dates, most of us has\d assumed that it was just a story. But some of Aunt
Eveliner’s descendants have discovered a letter from Miles Eppler to Aunt E. mentioning
his father’s third marriage. So, at this time (1972) we say Jonathan married a second time,
but can go no further.
Jonathan Eppler(m-3) Mrs. Easter, or Esther, Hines, a widow, who survived him according
to records of Census and Tax rolls etc. Very little is known of Mrs. Hines, except that she had
at least one daughter by her first marriage. In 1850 she was still living in Crawford County,
Ark., according to the Census; and the tax rolls indicated that she now owned the farm
previously owned by Jonathan.
