The Restoration of Historic Valencia Hall and
the Post Office - General Store

A community effort to save the
two remaining buildings
of the former logging-mill town of Valencia
in the Aptos Hills.

The hills and mountains were covered in giant coastal redwood trees. Trees that can live 2,500 years and are the tallest trees in the world, measuring up to 375 feet (114.3 meters) tall. Redwoods are insect and rot resistant, thus the tree was popular and plentiful for the building of San Francisco houses, bridges and railroad ties for the expanding West.
These circumstances lead to the birth of the Town of Valencia... come in and visit our Community 'Hall', 'Post Office', Park Project and learn about the old Town of Valencia.
