To our home page. We are owned by lovable Rott'n'kids,
who fill so much of our time, but what a way to go. Our life does
seem to revolve around these fourlegged pals but a lot of the
time we just don't realise it. I have come to realise that it
is a privilege to be owned by these wonderful dogs as well as
a lifetime responsibiltiy.

Although I fell in love with Rotties back in 1987,we've only
been 'into' Rotties since 1992, ever since we purchased Jessie
our very first baby, but then sadly lost her to Parvo.
Jedda
[Annaric Gypsys Jedda CD] came along 8 months later, but one wasn't
enough, so we purchased Kodi [Annaric Mijn Kodiak] from the same
breeder nearly 18 months after that. They have some pretty special
kids in nice loving homes now, too!
Rottweilers are working dogs and don't like to be
left in the back yard. We do conformation with Kodi only now,
as well as Obedience with both of them. Jedda has her CD and at
the moment we are working on her Agility Title, and Kodi's CD.
Jedda is doing pretty well, it's her handler who needs the lessons.
We train with the West Coast Rottweiler Club.
Ivan and I have four human kids; he is a lobster fisherman and I am a Bookshop Manager cum general dogsbody. We live in Western Australia and are both members of the West Coast Rottweiler Club. We have a lot of fun with our Rotts and their friends, from playing ball to tyre tug of war. Our Rotts are very much part of the family and as you will see come and go in the house.
Our human kids can bring their friends home and these friends think it is amazing that these 'big nasty savage beasts' are such sooks and big warm teddy bears in reality. Nothing like hands on experience! It is not long before these kids are shaking hands with the Rott n kids (so well mannered), and playing fetch, until they have become so much a part of the furniture it's the Rott n kids who are seeking the cuddles!
They have their favourite toys, Jedda loves to throw the tennis ball in any available lap, and enjoys playing chasey with Kodi or one of the kids. Rottweilers like stimulation and a challenge, but they also like to lay at your feet, especially under the desk when I am working on the computer.
Since these Rott'n'kids have taken over our lives, thoughts now turn to things like the correct diet for them, they eat better than we humans!, and the amount of and type of exercise they have, and most of all how can we best educate those people out there who think of them as dangerous killer dogs. I have included a page with my answers to questions I am often asked. If you have any others let me know.
