I am married, and the father of three beautiful children. My wife Barbara is a stay at home mom. Her job is a lot less glamorous than mine, but it is also a lot more work. She is the reason that our children are who they are. And I'm sure she is the reason we get so many compliments on our children's behavior when we are out in public. At just 9 years old, Kassie is our oldest child. Life is her stage and she is destined for stardom. Bobby is our middle child. He's 7 years old and wants to be just like daddy. (poor guy) Mandy is our youngest at 4. She was a surprise package, and we love her dearly.
To support the family, I work as a Mission Controller on the Galileo Spacecraft at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. It is an interesting job that I kind of fell into a long time ago. The position of Mission Controller or ACE as we are often referred to is best summed up like this: "Hours of complete boredom interspersed with minutes of pure panic." A few years ago, I decided that I needed to take off a few pounds. Back then I was always tired. In fact, I would get sleepy every night so early that Kassie and Bobby (then 5yrs & 4yrs old) were staying up later than I was. I have been a Disneyland fan since I was about 2 years old. I can remember my mother taking me on The Matterhorn when I was really little. We would yell "GERONIMO!" as we went down a dip or around a turn. Now that I have little ones of my own, we have Disneyland Annual Passes. And I am teaching them the fine art of yelling "GERONIMO" as well.
