Salvation

What We Believe
-In being saved! Jesus Christ is the only savior from sin. “For God
so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth on him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
-In Divine healing! Jesus is the Great Physician who is able and
willing to heal the body as well as the soul. “But he was wounded for our
transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of
our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:5
-In the Baptism of the Holy Spirit! God fills believers with His Holy
Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, for the purpose
of giving them power to live the Christian life and to do His work.
“And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak
with other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance.”
Acts 2:4
-That Jesus is coming again! He will break through the clouds and
receive us to himself. “. . . Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up
into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven,
shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”
Acts 1:11
The Most Important Thing In Life
Have you come to the place in your life that you know for certain that
, if you died today, you would go to heaven?
What would you say to God if He were to ask, “Why should I let you
into heaven?”
Did you know that you can be sure? Here are the facts:
1. Heaven is a free gift. You cannot earn it, and you will never
deserve it.
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is
eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Ephesians 2:8-9 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through
faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God -- not by works,
so that no-one can boast.”
2. You are a sinner and cannot save yourself.
Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of
God,”
James 2:10 “For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at
just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.”
3. God is merciful - He loves us - but, He is just - He must punish
sin.
Jeremiah 31:3 “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have
drawn you with loving-kindness.”
Ezekiel 18:4 “The soul who sins is the one who will die.”
4. Jesus is God in the flesh, and HE came to earth to die for our
sins and save us.
John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.”
John 1:14 “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. . .”
Isaiah 53: 6 “We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has
turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us
all.”
5. It is faith that saves us - that is, believing in Him and trusting
Christ alone for salvation - nothing else.
Ephesians 2:8 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through
faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--”
Acts 16:31 ”They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you
will be saved--you and your household."
It’s that simple. Just put your life in His hands, follow Him every
day, and watch how He will change your life.
Personally, I made that decision 24 years ago - in 1973 - and I have
never been the same. My life is a miracle of God. The changehas been drastic. Pastor Rick Roberts
