Texas

red river Once we finally got into Texas, it was such a relief. Granted, we spent two days crossing this huge state, but just knowing we were closing in on home made us very happy. Katy just loved the red muddy river beside a rest stop in Wichita Falls.

And speaking of Wichita Falls, that's where we wound up staying for the night. Our last night on the road. Great place too...now if I had just remembered to take pictures of it! (kicking myself)

...then the last push home. Once we got into the city limit, you could see the relief on Katy's face. I think we all felt the same way....now I just can't wait for next year! Katy smiling
