Chocolate Cheesecake Bars
If you like cheesecake your going to love these!!
Base
- 1½ cups flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- ½ cup butter or margarine
Combine flour and sugar in a mixing bowl.
Cut in butter with pastry blender until crumbly.
Press into a 9" square pan.
Bake at 350F for 10 minutes.
Let cool for 10 minutes.
Topping
- 1 8oz pkg of cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup butter or margarine, softened
- ¼ cup Cocoa
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- powdered sugar(optional)
In a small mixer bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy.
Stir together cocoa and sugar; add to butter mixture.
Add egg and vanilla; beat until smooth.
Spread cream cheese mixture over cooled base.
Bake 40 minutes or until no imprint remains when touched lightly.
Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
Sprinkle with powederd sugar if desired.
Cut into bars. Cover; refrigerate.
