THOUGHTS: IRC and our channel, #just4fun, has had a very positive impact on my life. I love getting to know someone from the inside out, enjoy meeting people from all over the world, and especially feel fortunate to have found so many unconditional friends.
FUNNIES: When I first started chatting, I wasn't familar with file extensions and had no idea what a .jpg was. One nite in the channel, I started seeing this scroll across the screen......!debo^ debo.jpg. I had no idea what was going on. Finally realized that all the people in the channel were trying to get a picture of me, which I didn't have!! I kept telling them that, but they wouldn't listen, just kept requesting the file. Then a friend decided it was time for their little prank to backfire, so he threw out a picture of this sexy lady in black leather holding a whip and naturally named it debo.jpg. So all of a sudden, the requesters started receiving a picture. It was hilarious and I don't know when I ever laughed so much. However, for months, my screen lit up like a Christmas tree with chat boxes, as alot of young horndogs thought it really was me! ;o )
ADVICE: Participate in IRC for the fun of it and to make friends. Leave all the squabbles and nit-pickin' for somewhere else.... ;o )
