Meet a Hero
David Loupe

Golden Meadow, LA
September 22, 1999

Mr. Cochennic has been working very hard for a long time on the Holy Mary Shrine. He wanted to put a roof over the shrine to protect it from the elements. He had the post up for some time and was waiting for the rest of the structure to go up. The structure is 40 feet wide, 38 feet long, and 24 feet high. David Loupe was the answer to his prayer. Mr. Loupe volunteered to complete the structure. He did all of the welding of the parts and put the parts together to form the roof and sides of the building. David works at a local shipyard and for the past few months has given up his precious, little off time to work on this lovely shrine. After working for so many hours in the sun and heat he would come to the shrine and work. And he did an amazing job. Look at the pictures to see what he accomplished. He has now finished his part and the next phase will begin.

David Loupe is 26 years old. He was born on February 4, 1973. He is currently single. He has 3 children, Jessica, David Jr., and Peyton.

No Net!

No safety rope!

Not even a ladder close by.

Jesus is his lifeline.

Amazing!

He jumps around on the pipes with so much grace.

Working so hard.

A monument to our Lord Jesus Christ.

So high up.

This is so scary. The Lord was taking care of him.
