On April 30, 1981, Bishop Warren Boudreaux came to bless the Holy Mary Shrine. The TV news said the weather was really bad from Baton Rouge, Houma, Thibodaux all the way to Grand Isle. It really was bad. It looked like it was going to rain any minute. Bishop Boudreaux started to bless the Holy Mary Shrine about six o'clock in the evening. The moment the Bishop started to the Shrine, a strong wind blew very hard and cleared the clouds all around the Shrine, and many people saw that. It was pouring down rain about a city block on the north by the Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. On the south by the Post Office, which is about the same distance on each side of the Shrine. Not a drop of rain fell on the Shrine or the people there. When the blessing was over, the Bishop came to the house with the people following him to get some refreshments and something to eat. After the Bishop left to go to church for the children's confirmation, it started to rain before they got to the church.
I was very pleased to see what happened that day of the blessing of the Holy Mary Shrine as were many of my friends who witnessed this, and they also signing this letter besides myself.
