On the night of September 24, 1998, I Michael Callais, was bringing my boat north in Bayou Lafourche. We were going to tie up for Hurricane Georges. I was at the wheel when we approached the beautiful Holy Mary Shrine. I must admit I never noticed the statue of Jesus on the bayou side. But this night this statue of Jesus was all I noticed and nothing else, the statue of Jesus turned towards the left with his arms open and fingers pointed towards the ground. He turned towards me (I say he because at this point it was not a statue any more.) His feet did not move, he turned at his waist. He did not look alive; he looked like a statue. Then slowly he turned back to face the Blessed Mother.
Since then I did not approach the statue until tonight, October 2, 1998. When my two kids Aaron and Miranda got out of my truck at the statue, this is when I realized that his hands were on his chest! Not open, like that night when I had seen it before.
God Bless Us All,
