Visitors to this page might find this "card" and the following
poem to be common and you might even have sent the very same
combination to others. Yes, it is "common".
However, the same can't be said of the person who sent this to
me. My "little sister" sent me this poem and card. The poem and
her thoughtfulness touched me and I wanted to share it with others.
"Common" wouldn't be a word used to describe either of us. We're
both strange and unique. We're still battling over which of us is
which! ;o) Btw, she's always had the darker hair, so this picture
pretty much IS us since we were about 3 or 4 years old...
We share many of the same quailities, yet our slight
differences continue to compliment the other's.

"How can words begin to say
the way you feel inside
when you have the kind of Sister
who fills your heart
with joy and pride...
How can words begin to tell
the countless gifts she gives
with her gentle understanding
and the loving life she lives...
It takes a world of loving
to be a special Sister,
a world of closeness,
understanding too,
It takes your kind of caring
and your selfless way of sharing
to make a Sister as wonderful as you
You're not only my Sister,
You're also a wonderful friend
