10. Thomas8 KNYVETT (John7, Manser6, Thomas5, Drugo4, Edmund3, Alfred2 LE KNEVET, Ofthomarus1) was born in Southwick, Northamptonshire, ENG CA 1215. Thomas died in Middlesex, ENG. He was killed in The Barons' Wars.

He married Millescent MANLEY ABT 1238. Millescent was born 1218.

Thomas KNYVETT had the following children:

child 11 i. Ernald9 KNIFT.

child 12 ii. Thomas KNIFET.

child 13 iii. Sir Ralphe DE KNYVETON. Owed 5 marks, in Berkshire, June 25, 1289. He, and another knight, held 1 "Knight's Fee" at Yattendon, late of Roger de Somery, February 6, 1292. He owed £20 in Derbs., and another £16 by April. (Close Roll).

Assessor of Subsidy for Wiltshire, July 30, 1297. He and Eleanor enfeoffed Hugh de Braudeston and his wife, Margaret, and her heirs of the moiety of Yattendon Manor, May 5, 1299. (Inq and Close Roll).

Eleanor was the daughter of Hugh, and the dispute was between sisters. The case was settled in favour of Eleanor.

He was made a perambulation of the Kings forest at Windsor, February 22, 1300. An order was made, July 1300, to elect him cornoer for Berks. And gain on May 2, 1305. Both times, he was doing other things by license of the king. He was a Juror in London, regarding lands in Berkshire, August 15, 1305. (Close Roll).

Ralph(e) also held Basildon in Berkshire, in 1316. On May 10, 1316, John de la Beche was granted "free warren, whose lands are afterwards described as of the inheritance of Ralph de Knyveton".
