Great Cats From My Past

"Martha" was my second cat. She was a dainty thing, with dainty paws and a dainty face ... the only thing not dainty about her was her appetite! She had a beautiful steel grey coat, the kind cat people call 'blue', with white on her throat, and a little white 'bikini set.' I got Martha to keep George (see Next) company, and she ruled the house with an iron paw. After George died, and other kittens moved into her house, she was like the 'Old Gumbie Cat' of "Cats" fame and took it upon herself to be foster mother to them all. She taught them manners, how to play, how to mock wrestle and how to clean. Woe to the kitten that didn't listen to Miss Martha. She was 12.
