God eliminated 2/3rds
of the population as possible messiahs when he declared than
the Messiah would be a descendant of Judah, who was a
    descendant of Issac and Jacob.

        Jesus
        was
a descendant of Abraham, Issac and Jacob and all the way
to King David himself, thus being a descendant of Judah.

    The Messiah was
prophesied to be born in Bethlehem. Micah 5:2, "But, you
Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the
thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the
One to be Ruler in Israel, whose going forth are from of old,
    from everlasting."

        Jesus
        was
born in Bethlehem. (It would be pretty hard to arrange
your birth place just to claim you were the Messiah.)

    A prophet named Daniel
who lived 400 - 500 years before Jesus wrote :

        Seventy weeks are
determined for your people and for your holy city, to
finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make
reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting
righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, aned to
        annoint the Most Holy.
        Know therefore and
understand, that from the going forth of the command to
restore and bukld Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince,
there shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; the
street shall be built again, and the wall, even in
troublesome times. And after the sixty-two weeks, Messiah
shall be cut off, but not for himself; and the peopel of
the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the
sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, and till
the end of the war desolations are determined.
        Then he shall
confirm a covenant with many for one week; but in the
middle of the week he shall bring an end to sacrifice and
offering. And on the wing of abonimations shall be one
who makes desolate, even until the consummation, which is
determined, is poured out on the desolate. (Daniel 9:24
        -27)

        What
in the World does that mean? Daniel had been a student of
prophecy and at the time he wrote this, he was a captive
in Babylon. The angel Gabriel was sent to Daniel to tell
him that Israel would BE restored. He was predicting the
coming of THE MESSIAH in 483 years.

            This
prophecy was fulfilled by Jesus the week before He
was crucified. It can be proven that, exactly 483
years after Jerusalem was rebuilt, that Jesus was
rejected by his people. (Now, is that
            ACCURACY or WHAT?)

Prophecy:Isaiah 53 And they made His grave with the wicked
(verse 9). ["though] He had done no violence, nor was
any deceit in His mouth (verse 9).

            This
prophecy was fulfilled when "Two robbers were
            crucified with him" (Matthew 27:38).

    Prophecy: (Betrayed by
    a close friend) Even
my own familiar friend in whom I trusted, who ate my bread,
has lifted up his heel against me (Psalm 41:9).

            This
prophecy was fulfilled by Jesus. And while He was
still speaking, behold, a multitude; and he who was
called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them and
drew near to Jesus to kiss Him. But Jesus said to
him, "Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man
            with kiss?" (Luke 22:47-48).

    Prophecy:
(Betrayed for 30 pieces of silver) Then i said to them,
"If it is agreeable to you, give me my wages; and if
not, refrain." So they weighed out my wages thirty
    pieces of silver (Zechariah 11:12).

            This
prophecy was fulfilled when Judas betrayed Jesus.
Then one of the twelve, called Jesus Iscariot, went
to the chief priests and said, "What are you
willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?" And
they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver
            (Matthew 26:14-15).

    Prophecy:
(Pierced through hands and feet) And I will pour on the house
of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of
grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they
pierced; they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only
son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.
    (Zechariah 12:10)

            This
prophecy was also fulfilled by Jesus. Then He said to
Thomas, "Reach your finger here, and look at My
hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My
side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing"
            (John 20:27).

    Prophecy: (Prayed
for His enemies) In return for my love they are my accusers,
but I give myself to prayer (Psalm 109:4).

            Then Jesus
said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not
know what they do." (Luke 23:34)

    Prophecy: (Soldiers
gambled for His Clothing) I can count all My bones.
They look and stare at Me. They divide My garments among them
and for My clothing they cast lots (Psalm 22:17-18)

            Jesus
fulfilled this prophecy. Then they crucified Him, and
divided His garments, casting lots, that it might be
fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet: "They
divided My garments among them, and for My clothing
they cast lots." Sitting down, they kept watch
            over Him there" (Matthew 27:35-36).

    Prophecy: (No bones
    broken) He
guards all his bones; not one of them is broken. 34:20).

            Fulfillment:
Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the
first and of the other who was crucified with him.
But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was
already dead, they did not break His legs . . . For
these things were done that the Scripture should be
fulfilled, "Not one of His bones shall be
            broken"
            (John 19:32-33,36).

    Look
    Closely at the Details!
    It is
a miracle that God sent Jesus to die for our sins. Think
about the fact that these prophecies were written over 700
years before Christ was even born! The fact that Jesus
fulfilled these prophecies defies human manipulation. Only
ONE man in the HISTORY of the world, could have died like
Jesus. The literal fulfillment of these prophecies is NO
COINCIDENCE! God knows our future and he wrote these details
in advance so that the world could identify the Messiah when
    he came.
    If you
are thinking that maybe Jesus carefully arranged his life to
fit the scriptures. You must consider the fact that most of
the prophecies and their fulfillment were way out of his
control. You can not arrange your family tree, nor your birth
place and most of the prophecy fulfillments were carried out
by his ENEMIES! The EVIDENCE is OVERWHELMING!!!

    The
    mathematical odds of
    the prophets correctly guessing
    17 specific prophecies are:
    1
    chance in
    480
    billion x 1billion x 1 trillion!
    With
these odds against you, would you bet against them! Please
don't bet your life and your eternal future on the
"chance" that these fulfilled prophecies are not
reliable. There is more than ample evidence to base your
faith on and your eternal security!
