The pictures contained on this page is an effort to provide a photographic documentation of the history of Floyd County, Ky.

Submission of photos to be included in this gallery will be appreciated. We are interested in pictures of individuals, family groups, places, and events. We are also interested in pictures from surrounding counties that once was part of Floyd County. Any pictures submitted and used will have proper credit given to the submitter.

Bird's-Eye view of Prestonsburg, 1880s, taken by a photographer named Crandall sometime in the 1880s. Looking north by northwest up what is today Arnold Avenue. The Harmison-Layne House is visible in the middle distance. The Booten-Salisbury House is visible on the left. Any information on the photographer Crandall would be appreciated.
