STILL MORE MEMORIES
... Swimming in the Atlantic Ocean; me being the only one of the entire gang that was thrown overboard on our Colorado River rafting trip; visiting famous historic sites such as: the Gettysburg National Battlefield; Arlington National Cemetery and the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier; the monuments and memorials of Washington, D.C.; watching the Marine Corps Barracks perform at the Iwo Jima Memorial; walking in silent awe as we passed the thousands of names on that black granite "Wall"; gazing in awe at the platoon of soldiers at the Korean War Memorial; the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island in New York City; riding the famous Staten Island Ferry; watching the Statler Brothers in concert in Staunton, VA, their hometown; sitting on the 4th Turn at the "Indy"500 big car race in Indianapolis; visiting the notorious Saloon #10 in Deadwood, SD, where Wild Bill Hickock was shot holding what has become known as the Deadman's Hand ... Aces and Eights.

Crossing the Royal Gorge Bridge more than 1,000 feet above the Arkansas River in Colorado; sitting on the edge of our seats while watching the Broadway musical "Beauty and the Beast" in Denver; doing the Macarena in Cheyenne during the Frontier Days; making a hit with the spectators in the LaCrosse, WI, Oktoberfest Torchlight parade because of our unique lighting scheme; and the potluck picnic we enjoyed with the Boy Scouts of Littleton, CO, whose Scoutmaster was my good friend Tom Sholes.....

Did we have the time of our lives or what? .....

The fireworks displays commemorating the 200th birthday of our country in Washington, D.C., and the 150th birthday of the Statue of Liberty in New York City were breathtakingly spectacular! .....
