Alta Roberta Kirtley Stahr, 76, a retired finance clerk, died Saturday at a Fort Worth hospital after a long illness. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, Shriners Children's Hospital in Dallas. Alta Roberta Kirtley Stahr was born Dec. 6, 1919, in Libertyville, Ill., and had been a resident of Fort Worth since 1951. She was a member of Grace Methodist Church and University United Methodist Church. She was a past high priestess, Nyanca Court No. 34, Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John F. Kirtley and Dr. Henry A. Stahr, D.C. Survivors: Sons, John Kent Kirtley of El Paso, Robert Bruce Kirtley of St. Marys, Ga., Edward Wayne Kirtley of Granbury, Charles Neal Kirtley of Chesapeake, Va., Richard Dale Kirtley of Jacksonville, Fla., Carl Glynn Kirtley of Pensacola, Fla., and David Scott Kirtley of Memphis, Tenn.; daughters, Karen Kirtley Watts of Benbrook and Claudia Lynn Mayorga of Lenexa, Kan.; brothers, Robert Kleihauer of Freeport, Ill., and Elwin Kleihauer of Marblehead, Mass.; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
