Amey | Rose Anne Humes | Searching for relatives of my Great Grandfather who served in the Civil War. He lived in Meadville, Crawford Co., PA. He was living with his daughter, Jenny Snyder, when he died in l932. She died the following year on Nov. 21, l933. Solomon L. Amey had one son, James "Mont" Amey but he never had any children so there is no one left in this part of the state by the name of Amey. His daughter was Jenny Snyder who married Charles H. Bistline Gutshall | Becky Searcy Teubner | My grandfather's stepgrandmother was Mary Elizabeth Gutshall. Her father's name was David B. Gutshall, son of Samuel and Elizabeth Gutshall. Samuel and Elizabeth Gutshall are buried in Rossville Cemetery, KS in the same plot as their daughter Sarah Gutshall Bistline Trostel. On her gravestone birth place is listed as Jackson Twp., Perry Co. PA. I have info on the descendants of David B. Gutshall and 2 generations of his siblings. Christian Ebert ... had married Matilda, aged 36, and they had six children, as follows: Lester R, 13; Harold C., 11; Raymond K., 10; Thelma I., 7; Margaret R., 5; and Helen, No age reported ... also a Carrie Ebert listed in Washington, Tazewell Co. whose approximate birth year was 1864, and who was a widow. Living with her were her children Milton John, 21; Earl, 21; Florence, 20; and William, 17. Also listed was a Michael (birth year 1866) who was married to Amelia, and they had children George, 15; Clara 13; and Forrest, 11. In the 1920 census records I found ... Christian and Matilda Ebert, but now a daughter Mildred aged 6 was added, and Helen's age was listed as 10. I also found ... Milton John Ebert married to Lena C. aged 27, and having Catherine, 7; Florence, 6; Mabel C., 3; and John M., 1. Are any of these names significant to you? |

Grandmother Fickes (Mary) was known to have lived in Huntingdon Co., or perhaps Bedford Co., PA. She died in 1893.
